Lovely old house built about 1568 became home to Quaker movement (Religious Society of Friends) from 1650s. Open for guided tours Tues-Fri 2.30pm, other times when staff are free, ask at hall. Taped commentary guided tour of 6 historic rooms takes 45 minutes. £3.50 children and concessions £2.50. Tea and coffee £1 per person, ask when booking. Small attraction.
